My name is Kim Woodrow and I am very happy and proud to say that this is my seventh year of teaching in the Schalmont Central School District!! I taught 4th grade for 5 years and I am currently in my second year of teaching 5th grade.
After graduating from Schalmont High School, I attended The College of Saint Rose where I received my Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education. I continued my education at Saint Rose and completed my Master's degree in Literacy. Prior to teaching in one of Schalmont's former elementary schools (Woestina Elementary School), I was provided with the opportunity to teach at Schalmont Middle School as a long-term substitute for 6th grade mathematics and science.
When I'm not in school I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My husband is also a teacher!! Mr. Woodrow and I love to camp and travel. One of our favorite places to visit is Baltimore, MD. He is a huge Baltimore Orioles fan, and I enjoy watching the New York Yankees, so we love to travel to Maryland to see these 2 teams in action. I enjoy being outdoors, shopping, and reading. Mr. Woodrow and I have two dogs, Gus and Jasmine, which the students will get to know very well.
My #1 goal as a teacher is to help my students acheive their individual goals while making learning exciting and memorable. I look forward to a successful 2011-2012 school year!!
